1. Sintered diamond grinding wheel

They have high bonding strength, good formability, high temperature resistance, good thermal conductivity and wear resistance, long service life and can bear large loads. Because the grinding wheel will inevitably shrink and deform in the sintering process, the grinding wheel must be reshaped before use, but the dressing of the grinding wheel is very difficult. At present, the commonly used grinding wheel roll modification method is not only time-consuming and laborious, but also a large number of diamond particles fall off in the process of modification. The modification grinding wheel itself consumes a lot and the modification accuracy is low.
Electroplated diamond wheel manufacturers believe that in recent years, scholars all over the world have carried out research work on dressing metal bonded diamond wheel with special machining methods, mainly including electrolytic dressing method, EDM dressing method and so on. Electrolytic dressing method is fast, but the forming accuracy is not high. EDM dressing method has high precision and can be trimmed and sharpened, but the dressing speed is slow. Compound dressing methods include electrolytic EDM compound dressing method, mechanochemical compound dressing method, etc. The dressing effect is good, but the system is complex, and the dressing problem of sintered diamond grinding wheel has not been well solved.
In addition, because the manufacturing process of the grinding wheel determines that its surface morphology is random, and the geometry, distribution and edge height of each abrasive particle are inconsistent, only a few high edge cutting workpieces are used during grinding, which limits the further improvement of grinding quality and grinding efficiency.
2. Electroplated diamond grinding wheel

At present, the manufacturing of electroplated grinding wheel in China has not realized the optimization design of grinding wheel morphology according to the requirements of processing conditions. The inherent disadvantages of single-layer electroplated diamond grinding wheel will greatly limit its high-efficiency grinding application.
3. Single layer brazed diamond grinding wheel
Electroplated diamond grinding wheel manufacturers believe that in order to give full play to the role of diamond, it is necessary to increase the retention force of binder on diamond and improve the bonding strength of grinding wheel. Single layer brazed superhard abrasive wheel can overcome the shortcomings of electroplated wheel and realize the chemical metallurgical bonding between diamond, binder and metal matrix, with high bonding strength. Only when the thickness of the bonding layer is kept at 20% - 30% of the abrasive grain height, can the abrasive grains be firmly grasped through high-load, high-speed and efficient grinding, so that the exposed height of the abrasive grains of the brazed grinding wheel can reach 70% - 80%, so as to increase the chip holding space, prevent the grinding wheel from blocking and make full use of the abrasive grains.
