Usually, adding a damping pad between the electroplated grinding wheel and the spindle, or using a polymer or composite material with good damping performance, can be made into electroplated diamond grinding wheel disc. The safety of high-performance electroplated grinding wheels depends to a large extent on the strength of the substrate, and also has high requirements on the strength of the abrasive layer and the bonding strength between the substrate and the abrasive layer. Due to the relatively small thickness of the abrasive layer, the safety design of the electroplated diamond grinding wheel is mainly the comprehensive design of the substrate, which is also an important difference from the design of the ordinary electroplated diamond grinding wheel.
In addition, the reasonable match between the diameter of the electroplated grinding wheel and the spindle speed should also be considered, and various factors should be considered to optimize the design of the matrix section. In high-performance grinding, the combination of the extremely high linear speed of the electroplated grinding wheel and the high feed rate of the workpiece can cause vibrations in the grinding system.
