JR opens South China’s exclusive diamond & CBN plant, strengthening its position in Asia Pacific

GUANGZHOU, CHINA, Sep. 16, 2014 – With ISO9001 certificate, JR(Guangdong) New Material Incorporated Company, a global leader in responsible diamond & CBN grinding wheel solutions, today announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China. The 6,400-square-foot plant production capacity further strengthening JR’s ability to meet growing customer demand throughout Asia Pacific.

The new facility is expected to employ more than 80 people, who will produce diamond & CBN grinding wheel solutions for sharpening mills and drills products. The plant comes equipped with the first automated CNC production lines .This, along with high-efficiency,high-precision machines and testers imported from Germany, can deliver double-digit reductions in manufacturing cycle times.

JR is also deploying the smart production and operation system in the diamond & CBN industry, which includes smart laser printer, smart CNC machines, high-standard machine guarding and multiple quality-control points. All key process equipment is also BSCI-certified to stringent health, safety and environmental requirements. Other benefits of the new state-of-the-art facility are traceability throughout the production cycle, a climate-controlled production environment and low-carbon emission production.

The plant features 1 lab with innovative testing and analytical capabilities to fully leverage the expertise from the recently opened JR Innovation Center in Guangzhou, China, helping to accelerate the development of responsible diamond & CBN tools solutions. The new Guangzhou site help reduces its carbon footprint and environmental impact.
